Party primaries fail on the register, the nomination process and the paperwork — long before anyone counts a vote. PollGuard records all three.
Why primaries get overturned
A nomination is usually challenged on process, not arithmetic. The recurring failures are:
- The register. Nobody can demonstrate who was a member, as at when, and on what basis they were eligible to vote.
- The nomination. Clearance, vetting and disqualification decisions exist as messages and memory, not as records with a named decision-maker and a timestamp.
- Multiple voting. There is no reliable way to show that one person voted once.
- The paper trail. Results are announced before anything is reconciled, and the reconciliation never catches up.
Each of those is an evidence problem. PollGuard is a system of record for the whole nomination cycle, so that when a decision is challenged you can produce what happened rather than describe it.

Before you commit
Are you integrated with the IEBC?
No. PollGuard is not integrated with, endorsed by or connected to the IEBC or any electoral commission, and we do not submit anything to them on your behalf. We produce the internal record of your party process; meeting statutory nomination requirements and deadlines remains your responsibility.
Do you check members against the national ID database?
Not at present. We verify the identity document itself and confirm that the live person matches it, which is a strong check. A direct government register cross-check is not live — our IPRS integration is sandboxed — and we will not claim otherwise. If a statutory register check is essential for your primary, tell us and we will discuss options.
Can this handle a large, contested primary on one day?
Talk to us first with real numbers. High-volume, high-stakes, single-day primaries need capacity planning and a support arrangement agreed in advance, and we would rather size it with you than have you discover limits on the day.
Is the ballot secret?
Ballot choices are separated from voter identity in what officials can see, and no administrator screen shows how an individual voted. That protection is operational — access controls and system design — rather than a cryptographic guarantee.
