About receipts
Does my receipt show who I voted for?
No. The receipt confirms that your ballot was recorded and counted. It does not contain or reveal your choices, so it is safe to share if you need help.
What if my receipt is not found?
Check the election ID and hash for typing errors — the hash is long and easy to mistype. If the details are correct and the receipt still is not found, contact your election administrator immediately.
Can someone else verify my receipt for me?
Yes. Anyone holding the receipt hash can confirm the ballot was recorded, which is what makes independent checking possible. It still does not reveal your choices.
Can I use my receipt to change my vote?
No. Once a ballot is cast it cannot be altered or withdrawn. The receipt is proof of recording, not a key to the ballot.
