Do all our members need a smartphone?
No. Members can vote from any phone or computer with a browser, and you can run supervised voting at a branch where members use a device you provide. Members receive notifications and one-time passcodes by SMS, which works on basic handsets. Note that a member being verified biometrically for the first time needs a device with a camera — that can be a branch device.
What about members whose details on the register are out of date?
Verification compares the ID document against the membership record, and mismatches are flagged for an administrator to resolve rather than silently rejected. You can correct member records before opening the poll, and every change is attributable.
Can we run delegate elections rather than one-member-one-vote?
Yes. Branch hierarchies let you elect delegates at branch level and then run the substantive election among those delegates, with eligibility enforced at each stage.
Will this satisfy our regulator?
We give you the evidence: a verified register, a per-position ballot record, receipts, a tally, and a certification and dispute trail you can export. What we cannot do is certify that your election complied with your by-laws or with the Co-operative Societies Act — you remain the returning authority, and you should confirm your process with your own advisers and with SASRA where applicable.
